Wills – Probate & the Administration of Estates – Trust Matters – Deputyship & Court of Protection Matters -Powers of Attorney
I was born in Colwyn Bay and grew up in Llandudno, attending Ysgol John Bright. I obtained my degree at Liverpool University and initially trained as a social worker, working for five years as a hospital and area based social worker specialising in elderly clients.
My growing interest in the legal aspects of my work prompted a career change and in October 1993 I qualified as a solicitor, working for the next six years in private practice in Newton Abbott in Devon. I became a partner with a large south Devon firm in 1998. At first, I specialised in matrimonial work but gradually moved over to non-contentious areas of law.
I moved back to North Wales for family reasons, joining Bone & Payne in August 1999. I was made a partner in 2004 and became the senior partner of the firm on the 1st October 2015. I retired as a partner in 2024 and now practice as a Consultant. My experience in Private Client work therefore extends to nearly 30 years.
My main interest, using my social work background, is acting for elderly clients as an attorney or a Court of Protection Deputy, ensuring that their interests are protected and their voice is heard. I also advise in respect of Wills, probate and trust matters.
I am a life-long Spurs fan
