Carys Jenkins appointed to the Office of the Public Guardian’s Professional Deputy Panel

We’re delighted to announce that Carys Jenkins has been appointed to the Office of the Public Guardian’s Professional Deputy Panel.

The Panel plays a vital role in supporting people who cannot make decisions about their property and finances, or welfare. Members are appointed by the Court of Protection when there is no suitable family member or friend to act, or where matters are particularly complex or sensitive.

This appointment reflects Carys’ expertise in managing challenging cases and her commitment to ensuring vulnerable individuals receive the highest standard of support.

Commenting on her appointment, Carys said:

“I’m proud to join the Panel. What I value most is building strong relationships with the people we represent and their families, making sure they receive the care and compassion they need. No two cases are the same, which makes the work both challenging and rewarding. I’m fortunate to have an excellent team behind me whose knowledge and commitment are invaluable.”

Our Court of Protection team regularly acts as professional Deputies and Attorneys, working closely with social workers, carers, healthcare professionals, and local organisations to ensure decisions are always made in the best interests of the person we represent. We focus on practical solutions and compassionate support for individuals and their families.
